| WIMS 2.0 AT NGMAST’08 and JITEL 2008 |

The WIMS 2.0 is attending the Second International Conference and Exhibition on Next Generation Mobile Applications, Services and Technologies, NGMAST’08, in Cardiff, from the 16th to 19th of September. WIMS 2.0 will participate in session “IMS Enhancements”, on Wednesday 17th, at 10:30 h (conference programme), with the presentation “WIMS 2.0, converging IMS and Web 2.0. Designing REST APIs for the exposure of session-based IMS” which introduces the WIMS 2.0 initiative and presents a design for the exposition of session-based IMS capabilities through REST APIs based on the AtomPub protocol. Likewise, WIMS is attending JITEL 2008, “VII Jornadas de Ingeniería Telemática”, that celebrates at the University of Alcalá de Henares from the 16th-18th September. WIMS 2.0 will participate this Wednesday, 17th of September at 13:00 h, with the presentation of the poster: “WIMS 2.0: CONVERGENCIA DE LA WEB 2.0 CON IMS. IMPLEMENTACIÓN DE UNA API REST DE PRESENCIA EN UNA ARQUITECTURA WIMS 2.0” , which presents the implementation of a Presence API within WIMS 2.0 architecture. About the NGMAST2008, this conference will focus on all novel aspects of technology, application and service development within the Mobile and Wireless Communications community. It aims to bring together a wide spectrum of international experts from the fields of research, business and policy, to facilitate a creative forum for the promotion of collaboration and knowledge transfer. NGMAST 2008 conference will include sessions on: IMS enhancements, peer to peer/energy consumption, WiMax and beyond, services platforms beyond IMS, m-commerce, propagation and antennas, QoS mechanisms in NGN, sharing and accessing content, ad hoc networks, services in cellular networks, location techniques, mobility in NGN, service composition/ context aware services and QoS techniques among others. About JITEL, this conference aims to be a forum for knowledge transmission and debate among Spanish groups dedicated to teaching or research on Telecom Networks and Services. |
