25-26 June 2008. First international workshop on user-centric service creation and execution. The WIMS 2.0 initiative is attending the first international workshop on user-centric service creation and execution - UGS Workshop - to be held the next 25th and 26th of June in Madrid. WIMS 2.0 will participate during the session “Services creation & execution by end users, Telco & Internet visions”, to be held on the 25th of June, from 11.30-14.00, where key players will share their ongoing activities in the field, providing Telco and Internet visions on their current user-centric approaches to end-user services. Namely, Mr. Guillermo Cajigas, R&D Specialist from Vodafone, Mr. Shinya Kukita, Corporate Chief Engineer from NEC Japan, Mr. Igor Douplitzky, Strategic Marketing from Orange, Mr. Christophe Lauer, Web + Windows Live Specialist from Microsoft France and Mr. Luis Angel Galindo, Senior Strategy Manager from Telefonica will participate in this session. Regarding WIMS 2.0, Mr. Luis Angel Galindo (Telefonica) will present the UGS principles and technology in the WIMS 2.0 initiative. UGS Workshop is organized by the FP6 IST OPUCE (Open Platform for User-centric Service Creation and Execution) project (http://www.opuce.tid.es), supported also by the TSOA (Telecom Service Oriented Architectures) ad-hoc cluster of European research projects. The main goal of this 2-day workshop is to create a forum where the most innovative research in the field of user centric service creation and execution could disseminate and demonstrate their advances. To this respect, European research projects, namely, OPUCE, SPICE, PLASTIC, SMS, MAGNET and LOMS will be presented. Also EzWeb (http://ezweb.morfeo-project.org )and MyMobileWeb (http://mymobileweb.morfeo-project.org ) projects will have a session as special invited projects.
