WIMS 2.0, an initiative founded by Telefonica I+D and Telefonica Spain, comprises the following partners: AlcatelLucent, UPM, Kimia, Unkasoft and Solaiemes. TID Telefonica Research and Development is the innovation company of the Telefonica Group. Owned 100% by Telefonica, this subsidiary was formed it 1988, with the aim of strengthening the Group's competitiveness through technological innovation. It is the most important private R&D company in Spain, in terms of both activities and resources, and in terms of number of staff, and it is one of the most important companies on the continent as regards participation in European Research projects. DIT-UPM The Departamento de Ingeniería de Sistemas Telematicos, or DIT-UPM for short, has been widely involved in the field of Telecommunication and Information Technologies. It is in charge of education and research in the fields of digital communications, networks, telematic services and distributed systems and it is the largest university research group existing in Spain on these areas.
KIMIA Kimia focuses on delivering a universal mobile Internet experience. Its technology allows mobile users to connect to their favorite Web content and communities, and share them with their friends, without installing software. Kimia also enable mobile service providers and content owners to distribute their content over any network or device.
UNKASOFT Unkasoft Advergaming develops advergaming marketing applications that let companies incorporate their branding into video games that customers download to their mobile devices. With Unkasoft’s personalized, nonintrusive approach, customers enjoy a dynamic, interactive experience that creates favorable awareness for advertisers and their products. Unkasoft offers a solution of ready-to-deploy mobile video games as well as custom game development. Unkasoft clients include Pepsi; Renault; Cosmo TV; Nokia, Oxfam, an international relief organization, and others. SOLAIEMES Solaiemes is focused on Mobility, increasing the number and quality of mobile experiences with network infrastructure to make profit on mid-tier device capabilities and current new core capabilities (IMS, PoC, CCXML/VXML capable IVR's, etc).
